Superfine White Powder
MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 is a specially formulated free-flowing white or gray powder to be mixed with water to form a paste that is used to fill up cracks and achieve a flawlessly smooth interior and exterior concrete surface. It covers surface imperfections, exhibits high adhesive strength resistant to cracks and pinholes, and offers superior compatibility and adhesion to masonry paints.
MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 is ready to use - simply add water and mix thoroughly. Skimcoat SK-1 has optimum open time and pot life ensure excellent workability resulting in a top-quality surface smoothness.

SURFACE PREPARATION
• Ensure that the surface is structurally sound and free of dust, oil, laitance, paint, curing compound, algae and mildew.
• Scrape off loose material and dust with a wire brush.
• Remove algae and mildew with an appropriate cleaner and wash with soap and water.
PRODUCT PREPARATION
• Mix 10 parts MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 1K to 3.5 - 4.0 parts clean tap water (20kg bag MONDO SK-1 to 7.50-8 liters water). Use a plastic pail, add MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 by increments to water and mix thoroughly to a homogeneous, lump free mixture.
• Use a hand drill-electric mixer for 2-3 minutes to attain a smooth and creamy paste.
• Allow the MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 water mixture to stand for 3-5 minutes and re-stir prior to application.
• Mix only a sufficient amount that can be applied in 30 mins - 1 hour. Warm exterior conditions will shorten pot life.
• Do not add water to extend pot life as excess water will affect the final performance properties of the skimcoat.
